Meet Randy Dotemoto

 

Dotemoto Headshot 2013Randy Dotemoto is an innovator in the alternative financial sector.  A native of Manhattan Beach, CA, Randy has spent his career creating new services to the underbanked in Southern California.  He is well-versed in the needs of the consumer and understands what good, hard-working Americans need when it comes to alternative financing.  Randy is the former Senior Vice President of Kinecta Federal Credit Union and President of their Nix Financial division.  Overcoming barriers was a specialty for Mr. Dotemoto as he continuously brought in new technology and products to assist the underbanked towards alternative financials services that more suited their needs from what traditional financial services could provide.

Mr. Dotemoto has also held a variety of other positions in the financial sector including: Chief Financial Officer, General Manager and Senior Vice President  and Board of Directors Member of Nix Check Cashing, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Kennedy-Wilson, Inc. and Director of Contract Services and Senior Audit Manager with Arthur Anderson & Co.

With his unique executive leadership and hands on experiences with alternative and mainstream financial service providers, Randy Dotemoto is now working as a freelance consultant while he prepares his new venture, Rinato Consulting.  Rinato Consulting will service a unique clientele in Southern California.  Individuals and small businesses in the SimTech arena will benefit from Mr. Dotemoto’s expertise when working with Rinato Consulting as he will provide insight and guidance for alternative financial services to those with little business experience.  With an understanding of his customers and common issues for alternative financing in the mainstream, Randy will help tech startups and young businesses understand how to flourish.  He is passionate about meeting the needs of everyday Americans and setting them up for success with proper guidance and access to new and exciting products that are revolutionizing the alternative financial industry.

Randy is also active in thought leadership and is invited to speak with groups all around the country on financial products and services, alternative and sustainable delivery channels, and new advances in technology that are shaping the industry.  He enjoys the challenges, innovations and strategic planning involved within the financial sector and continues to learn more about their impact each day.

When not working on helping the underbanked, Randy enjoys spending his time in charitable work.  He has worked with the Credit Union for Kids Advisory Board for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and was the top online fundraiser in 2010 and 2011 for the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run in Washington, D.C.

Passionate about wine culture, Mr. Dotemoto enjoys seeing wineries as small businesses and appreciates those who work in low production, creating the product from the beginning of growing the grapes to the final product of distribution.

Randy Dotemoto also enjoys cooking and traveling the world.  Meeting new people, seeing new environments and absorbing different cultures are passions of Randy’s and he enjoys trying new and exciting food that he can try to create.  His travel destinations include Alaska, Panama, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Mexico and more.  Amongst his travels, he also enjoys fishing and deep sea fishes any chance he gets, with his biggest catch being a 245 pound yellowfin tuna!

Randy is a passionate about helping people and his entrepreneurial spirit and love of adventure have shaped his own life experience and his passion to serve financially underserved communities.
